Staff

We currently have a six-person team. Much like the many sides of a die, we all face away from each other and add up to 7.

LaVonna Bowen is a founding member and general business director of Synapse Firing Squad. A graduate of Williams College, she is very happy not to be using any of her hard earned degrees, instead focusing on creating entertaining, enthralling video games for you to enjoy. She has previously helped with design for both It's Dark in Here and Synapse Firing Squad's website.

Tomio Ueda was born in the cold northern lands beyond the mountains. As a young child, he acquired powers beyond your wildest dreams. Also as a young child, he fucked up and lost said powers in a horrible accident. His parents are fine. He has since had to acquire powers the normal way: hard work and exposure to radiation. He has degrees in Japanese (hard work) and Math (radiation) and could probably lift two cats at the same time if they would just hold still long enough.

Michael Welter likes video games. A lot. More than probably anything else, except maybe eating cheese. Michael Welter also likes to eat [REDACTED BY EDITOR]. He actually doesn't, but he's pretty good at it, and his wife is writing this, so she just wanted to let you know. Michael has turned down sex in favor of video games. More than once. Like, way more than once. His wife just wanted you to know that, too.

Christine Whitlock was raised in the vast, untamed suburbs of New Jersey. There, she was forced to fight against her classmates in a dangerous competition amid the strip malls and diners for the right to leave the state. She succeeded and fled to Boston, where she attended Boston University. Since graduating, her fighting skills have continued to improve. Her English degree gripped tightly in her hands, she now does battle daily with math textbooks, subduing equations and wrestling them into place on the page. Now, she is ready to bring her fighting skills to the world of making games.

Jon Wooding has always been fascinated by video games. But he also loves playing with words, making up stories, and reading books; so he went and got a B.A. in English from Boston University, where he deepened his appreciation for coherent narrative & the communicative properties of the graphic arts, and also embarrassed all his opponents in Mario Kart: Double Dash. He brings the blue sparks and his commitment to excellent narrative to his work at Synapse Firing Squad, LLC.
